The Pyrénées-Orientales department gave us the mission to turn a room of the Palace of the Kings of Majorca into an immersive place appealing visitors to rediscover this Middle Age atypical palace’s history.
We decided to use the video mapping technique to dress the room’s four walls. The directors duo, Maud Sertour and Samy Barras, joined us to create the animated sequences that will be projected in the stables room, still never visited yet, from next spring onwards.
The sound and visual experience lets us discover the catalan palace at its origin, before Vauban decided to turn it into a citadel. This new mediation tool enables to discover the wonderful exterior places that surrounded the palace, an invitation to uncover the medieval fauna and flora throughout the seasons, just like a lost Garden of Eden.
The light will adapt to the stones, bricks and scars in the walls to play different medieval pictures.
This experience is accessible to all since May 2021.
