Impesanteur (lit. Weightlessness) is a R&D prototype which offers two different user experiences of the same zero-gravity simulation : an Augmented Reality one, using Hololens 2 connected glasses, and a Virtual Reality one, enabled by the use of an Oculus Rift-type headset.
The VR simulation consists of the recreation of either a neutral environment, or that of a space shuttle (using the ISS as a setting).
The user may try and interact with a solid object (a pen) or water, in a zero-gravity environment. He also comes in close contact with and witnesses an astronaut moving about. To finish with, the user can experience his own movement as if he was in space.
The AR simulation allows the user to interact with a pen and water as well. This prototype also shows the astronaut move, weightless.
