A Cavalòt
After a 7-year long break from the stage, Massilia Sound System is back at last with a new album entitled Sale Caractère, and the music video to their new song A Cavalòt.
The Marseille-born band have asked film director and editorial cartoonist Aurel to direct the music video. Aurel made the choice to add animated sequences to raw camera footage.
We joined the venture by providing a new open-source technical tool called Flipix, which allows one to create animation in real time upon live footage.
The music video was an opportunity for us to test and adjust the first version of the prototype. We are eager to try it and perfect it further on future projects.
This project was made using the prototype Flipix, which is supported by the French National Centre for Cinema (CNC)’s subsidy for technical industries.
