Ensérune – Crossroads of civilizations

In 2022, we had the opportunity to collaborate for the first time with « Drôle de Trame » and the « Centre des Monuments Nationaux » on the site of the Oppidum d’Ensérune. We created three elements for the new permanent exhibition of the restored museum. The first element, « Ensérune Crossroads of Civilizations, » is a map over 1.50 meters in height projected onto a relief map of Europe, serving as an introduction to the site’s visit.

Through this 3-minute spectacle, visitors can discover iconic objects imported over seven centuries by the inhabitants of Ensérune. The various objects presented in the film are displayed in the showcases of the room. As the motion design animations progress, we explore the different civilizations that populated Europe and the Mediterranean region: Celts, Orientals, Phoenicians, Romans, and more. It’s a true immersion into the consumption habits of the inhabitants of the Oppidum d’Ensérune from 575 BC to 200 AD.

The new museum tour was inaugurated in early July 2022.
