Camera Plane: What is it?
Camera Plane is a Blender addon designed to convert a 2D backdrop into a 3D environment.
The Camera Plane is a tool created for Dilili in Paris, and we’ve used and improved it in nearly all of our productions. It allows you to import all the layers of a 2D backdrop and position them in the 3D space of the camera in just a few clicks. A menu offers simple and quick interactions for artists. The « planes » adapt to the camera’s focal length, orientation, and position and can be easily adjusted. This enables the creation of a 3D environment where you can animate 3D or 2D assets, animate cameras, and achieve realistic parallax effects. We used it on The Siren.
