Rahimé Valladier, nicknamed « The Mexican, » comes to France with the famous Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show troupe for the 1889 Paris Universal Exposition. He leaves the troupe to travel to the Cévennes, the land of his ancestors, in search of the « Holy Spirit, » a treasure allegedly left behind by his forebears 200 years earlier.
