VULPES – Vulnerability of Populations Under Extreme Scenarios

Film

Images of the project

The VULPES (Vulnerability of Populations Under Extreme Scenarios) project aims to assess the impact of past climate change on mountain ecosystems and their genetic diversity around the world. It is funded by Belmont Forum, an international consortium that mobilizes funding for research on environmental change and accelerates its implementation to remove critical barriers to species sustainability. VULPES should predict the potential impacts of future climate change.
The CNRS via the Institute of Evolutionary Sciences, one of the project partners, entrusted us with the task of editing the 2 films, an English version and a multilingual version, making it possible to present the project and its results. A rather particular achievement, since Covid-19 requires, the filming on 4 continents had to be done with the means at hand without professional equipment, in full confinement. Thank you in advance for your understanding for the technical imperfections.

Thank you to all the researchers who participate in this work and provide the world with the best study tools.
